Anemoia

Anemoia is the answer to one of the problems of the new, post-pandemic life “skin hunger”. Its purpose is to satisfy the desire of touch caused by a period of long isolation and thus of physical contact with another person. Designed as a smart device, it acts as a piece of jewellery that can be given to a loved one. The built-in stimulators produce a personalised air pulse simulating the breath of the giver.
By stimulating the earlobes it acts as a substitute for intimacy in moments when physical contact becomes impossible.

Anemoia helps people in long-term iso- lation to cope with the problem of “skin hunger” manifested in physical and psychologi- cal problems resulting from the lack of touch.

The design of an application that makes it possible to record one’s breathing, creating an individual rhythm and the intensity with which the device will stimulate the recipient’s ear, thus giving a part of oneself to loved ones.
